Warning Against Impersonation of Nokuhle Kumalo and Financial Scams
28 July 2025

We've been receiving numerous reports of individuals being targeted by imposter accounts falsely claiming to be Nokuhle Kumalo on social media. These scammers are aggressively offering financial advice, trading services, promising ‘amazing returns’ and requesting money. We're issuing this urgent public warning to protect our community and provide clear steps if you've been affected.

What You Need to Know:

  • Nokuhle will NEVER direct message (DM) you to offer financial advice, trade on your behalf or ask for money.

  • We DO NOT provide financial advice or trading services. Our social media channels are solely for entertainment and educational purposes.
  • All official business activities and legitimate services are exclusively listed on our website: www.lomaku.co.za.
  • While Nokuhle is currently conducting research, including customer interviews for a "money doctor" concept, it's crucial to understand that we are NOT yet a registered Financial Services Provider (FSP). This means we cannot offer regulated financial advice or engage in any trading services.

  • If you're ever in doubt about an interaction or a financial claim, please verify it directly by emailing info@lomaku.co.za. Until any such registration is officially communicated on our designated business channels, please assume that regulated financial advice or services are not being offered.

Beware of These Imposter Accounts (and Others):

These fraudsters are sophisticated and constantly create new profiles. Please be vigilant about accounts mimicking our name, profile picture, or content.

What To Do If You've Been Scammed or Approached:

Your immediate action can help prevent further harm to yourself and others.

  • Do NOT Engage: If an account claiming to be Nokuhle DMs you asking for money or offering financial services, do not respond or click on any links.

  • Block and Report: Immediately block the imposter account and report it to the social media platform.

  • Gather Evidence: Take screenshots of the conversations, the imposter profile, and any transaction details if money was sent. This evidence is crucial.

  • Contact Your Bank: If you have sent money, contact your bank or financial institution immediately to report the fraudulent transaction. They may be able to assist in recovering funds or preventing further unauthorized activity.

  • Report to the Authorities: File a formal complaint with the South African Police Service (SAPS). Provide them with all the evidence you've gathered. You can do this at your nearest police station.

  • (Optional) Inform Us: Please also send an email to info@lomaku.co.za with subject (RE:Fraud Alert) including details and screenshots of the fraudulent interaction. While we cannot retrieve your funds or provide any further assistance, this helps us monitor the situation and provide information to authorities.

This statement serves as a formal warning. Your vigilance is key to preventing these scams. Please share this information to help protect our community.
